Dr. Hannah W. Wong (Facilitator/CEO) earned her PhD in modern art history from University of Texas and has held fellowships with the Smithsonian, National Gallery of Art and the Blanton Museum of Art. With a decade of experience teaching art history in higher education institutions such as the University of Texas at Austin and Baylor University, Hannah has also served as a frequent lecturer at the Blanton Museum and created several of their adult learning courses. Most recently, she launched a popular online series of live art history courses, including a modern art course in fall 2021.
Dr. Leslie Dovale (Facilitator) received her PhD in English literature from Rutgers University. Specializing in modern theater, Leslie has taught for over 15 years in higher education and secondary schools, including St. Edward’s University and San Juan Diego Catholic High School in Austin. As an independent consultant, she works as a dramaturge and is an active member of the Austin-based company, 3rd Course: Theatre.
Dr. Lisa Neely (Facilitator) works as a director, actor, teacher, and researcher, with a particular interest in new play development and initiatives towards a theatre of hospitality as espoused by Eric Ehn. She was awarded “best director” for Medea by Port Folio magazine of Hampton Roads, VA, and then went on to serve as inaugural artistic director for Red Clay Theatre in Tennessee. She now resides in Austin, TX, where she teaches at Austin Community College and continues to explore theatrical hospitality through 3rd Course: Theatre.
Jennifer Pappenhagen (Facilitator) did her doctoral work and earned her MA in English literature, with a field specialty in modern British theatre, from the University of Texas at Austin. She taught literature, rhetoric, and writing at UT for six years, and has 14 years experience teaching literature, history, writing, and theatre in various Texas high schools. Jennifer has acted in several 3rd Course: Theatre productions, and previously engaged the theatre scene in Houston as an actor, director, playwright, and children’s theatre teacher.
Sara Beth Burch (Administrator) graduated from Baylor University with a degree in art history and a concentration in ancient art, participating in an archaeological excavation near the Sea of Galilee and working in museum education at the Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco, TX. Now based in Austin, Sara Beth serves as the Vox Omnibus administrator as well as with a company facilitating reproductions for museums and individual artists around the world. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting museums, watching stand-up comedy, hiking, supporting women’s soccer, listening to BTS, and virtually traveling the world through Google Earth.
